SS Leopoldville Troopship Disaster

- The troopship Leopoldville was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on December 24, 1944. There were 763 soldiers of the U.S. 66th Infantry Division killed. Bodies of 493 soldiers never found. Many photos on the Web site and drawings by Richard Rockwell (nephew of Norman Rockwell) depicting disaster.
