And the Crowd Goes Wild: Relive the Most Celebrated Sporting Events Ever Broadcast (Book and 2 Audio CDs)
    Source: Amazon.com
Author: Joe Garner and Bob Costas (narrator)
From an Amazon reader: "It's hard not to cry when you hear Lou Gherig's farewell speech, or when the 1980 hockey team beats the Soviets, or 'The Giants win the Pennant! The Giants win the pennant!' This book is good, but the CDs are better, because you can imagine listening to the events for the first time and getting caught up in the excitement. Some are less exciting (can you really have a tense golf moment on radio?), but all are inspirational. I got goosebumps from each one. The Stanford-Cal play is still the best piece of sports announcing ever." (2000)
