Ogham jewelry
Source: Irishop
Country: Ireland
- Ogham is an early Irish alphabet, sometimes called the Tree Alphabet because a 14th Century manuscript identified each letter with a particular tree. Surviving examples of Ogham-inscribed stones are often commemorative in character -- the name of the person commemorated is inscribed in the Ogham alphabet. Irishop sells custom ingots inscribed with up to seven letters. These are really neat items that could make great gifts to commemorate a birthday, trip to Ireland, or other event.
