A magnificent modern WWII movie! A Russian sharpshooter (Jude Law) and a German sharpshooter (Ed Harris) duel at the Battle of Stanlingrad. This movie is extremely well made. It provides honest historical context -- showing the brutality of the communists as well as the Nazis -- and rivots you with a good story. (2001)

The block-bluster movie based loosely on the life of "The Swamp Fox," a Revolutionary War hero from South Carolina. The film is terrific -- I've watched it four times -- and the extras on the DVD are entertaining as well. (2000)
